Mayor Nutter has appointed David to serve on the Philadelphia Authority For Industrial Development Board and an Assessment Team that evaluated children's services provided by the City’s Department of Human Services. He also serves as a Board member of the Building Industry Association of Philadelphia and Congregation Kol Ami.

He has served as Chairman of the Board which oversees the Philadelphia Gas Works; the American Jewish Committee’s Philadelphia Chapter; Operation Understanding; and The Association for Independent Growth (TAIG). He has also served as Vice Chairman of the Board of the Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corporation; the Mayor’s Representative to the Philadelphia Industrial Development Corporation Board and on the Mayor’s Commission on Gaming.

Among various community recognitions, David has received Eisenhower Exchange and Wexner Heritage Fellowships and the Judge Learned Hand Award. In 2009 and 2010 he was selected to participate in the Greater Philadelphia Leadership Exchange by the Economy League.

David graduated from the University of California, Davis School of Law, and cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania. As a law student, he interned with the Israeli Environmental Protection Service. Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Peter B. Scuderi of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the firm, David was a partner at the Philadelphia law firm of Cohen Shapiro Polsher Sheikman and Cohen. David is admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey.
