Tom is a partner in the Business Department. He practices in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and intellectual property. His particular areas of expertise include purchase and sale transactions involving privately-owned businesses, the structuring of joint ventures and other agreements among the equity and debt holders of businesses, the transfer and licensing of software, trademarks and other intellectual property and technology (including transfers and licensing in connection with internet/e-commerce businesses), and the protection of intellectual property in employment and consulting arrangements. Prior to joining the firm, Tom was an associate in the Business Department of the Philadelphia office of Dechert Price & Rhoads.
Tom is a 1990 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Law School where he served as Special Projects Editor of the University of Pennsylvania Law Review. He received his undergraduate degree magna cum laude in 1987 from Dickinson College where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Omicron Delta Kappa (a leadership honor society). Tom is admitted to the Bars of Pennsylvania and New Jersey. |
