Eric is a partner in the Business Department and chairs the firm’s Electronic Security Group. He focuses his practice on the representation of electronic security companies and life safety providers throughout the United States. Eric represents buyers and sellers in mergers and acquisitions in the electronic security and life safety industries and provides day to day advice and guidance on general business issues including corporate and organizational affairs, financing, business planning and the preparation and negotiation of subscriber service contracts. He also represents industry clients on liability issues in commercial and complex tort litigation and in investigations conducted in anticipation of litigation. Eric is currently active in industry affairs and serves (or has served) as counsel to a number of industry trade groups including the New Jersey Burglar and Fire Alarm Association, the Pennsylvania Burglar and Fire Alarm Association and the Regional Automatic Fire Alarm Association. He is also an active member of the legal education committee of the Central Station Alarm Association. Eric is a frequent author and speaker on industry affairs. Prior to joining the firm, Eric was a partner at Bolger Picker Hankin & Tannenbaum and an associate in the litigation departments at Wolf, Block, Schorr and Solis-Cohen LLP and Klehr, Harrison, Harvey, Branzburg & Ellers LLP.
Eric is active in a number of community-based programs including Mt. Airy Baseball and served for many years as a mock trial coach for students in Philadelphia’s Martin Luther King and Edison-Ferreira high schools.
Eric received his law degree from Temple University in 1989 where he was a member of the Law Review. He received a Bachelor’s degree from Temple University in 1985. Eric is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, New Jersey and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.
