Lorena is an Associate in the Litigation Department. She concentrates her practice in the areas of complex commercial litigation, employment litigation and counseling, and insurance coverage law.
Lorena joined Kleinbard Bell & Brecker after serving as law clerk to the Honorable Petrese B. Tucker of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. Prior to her clerkship, Lorena was an associate at Ballard Spahr LLP in Philadelphia.
Before attending law school, Lorena was a political appointee at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, where she served as congressional liaison in the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Legislation. Before joining HHS, she worked in the Environment Division of the White House Office of Science & Technology Policy.
Lorena is the President-Elect of the Hispanic Bar Association of Pennsylvania, and a member of the Board of the Hispanic Bar's Legal Education Fund. Lorena also serves as a Regional Deputy Director of the Hispanic National Bar Association. She also is a member of the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Philadelphia District Office's Hispanic Committee and the Philadelphia Bar Association.
Lorena has been honored by Law & Politics Magazine and Philadelphia Magazine as a "Pennsylvania Rising Star Super Lawyer" in the area of business litigation.
Lorena received her law degree in 2003 from The George Washington University Law School. She also graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of New Hampshire. Lorena is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania.
