Commercial
Litigation
We represent clients in a wide range of complex commercial
disputes arising from business matters. We prosecute and defend
claims for breach of contract, business defamation, civil
RICO, antitrust violations, use of confidential information
and trade secrets.
For example, we have obtained an emergency order in federal
court for a leading automotive dealership restraining a vehicle
manufacturer from wrongfully terminating the dealership's
franchise. We have successfully defended a wireless telecommunications
company with assets in excess of $1 billion in a lawsuit filed
by a competitor alleging wrongful use of trade secrets and
proprietary information. We have won summary judgment and
affirmance on appeal before the Third Circuit for a manufacturer
of electronic voting equipment on a distributor's breach of
contract claim in excess of $2 million. We defended an options
trader in an antitrust class action lawsuit against the NYSE,
AMSE, Philadelphia Stock Exchange and market maker/specialists
challenging the listing of options on a single exchange. We
have defended a variety of Civil RICO claims, including claims
against an insurance agency, an arms manufacturer and a voting
machine manufacturer.
